How to Create Paper Lanterns with 3 FREE Patterns

To begin, choose one of our three paper lantern designs from the Design Library.

The supplies needed for this project include:

• A paper lantern design from the Design Library (if you use the bird lantern design, please note you must print two)

• Cardstock

• Craft knife

• Glue

• Paintbrush

• Pencil

• Scissors

• Parchment Paper

Print the lantern design onto cardstock. Before cutting out the full lantern, use a craft knife to cut out the interior design, you can then use scissors to cut out the outside of the lantern.

Cut out panels of parchment paper and glue to the inside of the lantern. Next, glue the sides of the lantern together.

Add a faux candle or some twinkle lights to the lantern and that’s it! These are perfect for a garden party or cozy night-in this summer.
