How to Make a Wedding Sign
This week I created a sign for wedding decor as it is wedding season. I used the Letter Stencil Maker tool on Rapid Resizer to create the letter design and to add a symbol as well. This is a simple way to create a handmade touch for any wedding you are decorating!
Check out the video below to see how you can use Rapid Resizer to make one too.
What you'll need:
- wood or wooden sign
- pencil
- tape
- gold paint pen
After I printed out my design it looked like this. I made a small sign for this example so it was only two pages wide.
Then I cut the design out and shaded the back with a pencil.
Next, I taped it to my wood sign and traced the letters and symbol with the pencil while pressing down hard enough to transfer the design.
After the design was transferred I used an eraser to clean up any extra little pencil lead marks.
Lastly, I painted the letters and arrow with a gold paint pen. It is helpful to test out your paint pen on the back of the sign first to see if it has the color and texture you like. It also helps to use wood that is sanded or less textured if possible.
Happy sign making!
